SITE-SELECTION is the number one agenda to execute as a poultry farmer before going in poultry business.

Criteria:
(a) The site must be far away from home, to avoid uncontrollable noises that can make your birds get frightened.(This can causes an extreme mortality in your farm)
(b) Ensures of proper drainage.
(c) Establish your poultry farm away from other neighborhood's poultry farm, to avoid undesirable diseases.
(d) Introduce the techniques required for poultry buildings ( kindly drop your comments under this post to know all the techniques required)
(e) In most cases, perimeter fencing is advisable.
(f) Make provisions for water supply (as this is very paramount, because birds drink water alot)
Note: There must be enough drinkers and feeders in each of your poultry units.
(g) Get a reliable feed supplier.
(h)Get a reliable and dependable farm where you can actually buy your day old birds from...(Ensures you get your birds from a particular company)
(I) Take biosecurity very serious (this will help you minimize mortality.)
(j) Human resources is required, because an intensive poultry management is laborious and time consuming.
(k) Provide concrete litters, and ensures a good litter management at all time to prevent disease outbreak.
